Matthew Denny: Discus Throw
It’s my second time here in Morocco. The culture and hospitality are always outstanding, and the competition here is always great. I had such a fantastic time in Rabat, and I am looking to do the same here in Marrakesh, especially with these wonderful fans. I am here to put on a show for them. My goal, along with some of the guys, is to break the 70-meter mark. I am competing, grounded, and focused on my personal goals, doing what is required to win.
Chase Jackson: Shot Put
I am so happy and excited to be here. Discovering the city, the stadium, and the crowd is a must for me since it's my first time. Competing against these athletes gives you a clear view of what you are up against. I emphasize the importance of mental preparation, staying calm, and avoiding pressure, especially after securing two world titles. Being surrounded by my friends makes it a lot easier. Coming to these meets helps you a lot to get ready for the Olympics.
Andre De Grasse: 100m
I just started my session a few weeks back and I'm feeling pretty good. This is my first official Diamond League race, and I'm looking forward to racing tomorrow. We could say it's my first challenge to get back into the 100m mix and see what I can do for the rest of the season. My goal for tomorrow is to run a good race and, of course, compete to the best of my ability—maybe even achieve a sub-10-second performance.
Mujinga Kambundji: 200m
I am happy to be back. The session so far is alright; I started in China early and didn't really get the times I hoped for, but it's getting better. With such a busy year, I couldn’t do the indoor session, following it with two outdoors. However, the main goal with my coach is to peak at the Olympics.
Soufiane El Bakkali : 3000m Steeplechase
As you know, it was not easy for me at the start of the year due to my injury, which kept me away from my practices and preparation sessions. However, thanks to my medical team, I am ready now to participate in this year’s edition after receiving authorization. I am very excited to participate in my home country. This is a great opportunity for me to meet with international champions. My main goal is to stay focused and work seriously towards the Olympics to defend my title.
