L’athlète kényan Abel Kipsang, spécialiste du 1 500 mètres prendra part à la prochaine édition du Meeting International Mohammed VI d’athlétisme, qui se tiendra au complexe sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah à Rabat.
Lors des Jeux olympiques d’été de 2020 à Tokyo, il termine premier de sa demi-finale du 1 500 m en établissant un nouveau record olympique en 3 min 31 s 65. Ce record appartenait à son compatriote Noah Ngeny depuis les Jeux de 2000 à Sydney.
