The Ethiopian Etenesh Diro Neda wins the 3000 meters steeplchase

With a 9.16.87 timing, the silver medalist of the 2009 african youth championships came first at the 3000 meters steeplechase event ahead of the Kenyan athlete Gladys Jerotich Kipkemoi, gold medalist of the 2004 world youth championships, who finished the race in a 9.26.36 timing.

The third place went to the Kenyan Caroline Chepkurui with a 9.28.81 timing.
