Ryan Crouser: The Undisputed King of Shot Put

With world records, multiple Olympic golds, and an unmatched dominance, Ryan Crouser has set a new standard in shot put history.

Ryan Crouser has redefined the limits of shot put, establishing himself as one of the greatest throwers in track and field history. Crouser has dominated the event, breaking world records and collecting Olympic and World Championship gold medals. His career is a testament to dedication, innovation, and sheer dominance in the circle.

At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Crouser delivered a legendary performance, winning gold with a then-Olympic record of 22.52 meters. His final throw sealed his place in history, showcasing his flawless technique and explosive power. This victory marked the beginning of his era of dominance.

Five years later, Crouser achieved what many considered impossible—breaking the long-standing world record. On June 18, 2021, at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, he launched the shot 23.37 meters, surpassing a 31-year-old outdoor record. Just weeks later, at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Crouser defended his title in spectacular fashion, setting a new Olympic record with a throw of 23.30 meters.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, he once again proved why he is the undisputed king of shot put with a throw of 22.90 meters. His three consecutive Olympic gold medals, two World Championship titles in 2022 and 2023 (where he improved his world record to an astonishing 23.51 meters), a World Indoor title in 2024, and a Diamond League title have cemented his legacy as the greatest shot putter of all time.
