Rabat Meeting International Mohammed VI d’Athlétisme

Officially known as the Meeting International Mohammed VI d’Athlétisme de Rabat, this annual track and field event is named after the king of Morocco

Launched in June 2008, the Meeting International Mohammed VI de Rabat constitutes a step in the process of the development of athletics adopted by the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation in accordance with the high orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.

This annual international sporting event, taking place in Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, represents the story of a shared project led by the Moroccan athletes themselves.
These dignified representatives of the Moroccan sport, who shined in many competitions and who wish, today, to compete on track and field alongside international elite athletes.

Mobilizing major institutional, national and international key players, this event is also one of a city with multiple development projects. Moreover, Rabat confirms its openness to the athletics world by hosting a meeting with global reach.

With the support of World Athletics, the Confederation of African Athletics and the mobilization of the federation’s partners, this sporting event took part from 2010 to 2015 in the IAAF world challenge calendar and was integrated, in 2016, into the Golden League tour.
